Having been to the real ones in San Antonio, Bruce, that is really neat. Is that a permanent display

First of all: Good work!

Is it required to annouce black and white photos?

Are these real B&W or conversions? I'm only asking because some of my photos were mistaken for conversions. Either way they are nice.

Thanks. These are B&W conversions. I just put "B&W" in the title, so if someone's not interested, they don't have to open up the post.

BTW: The "displays" at the Gaylord Texan are definitely permanent and quite large. They are intended to represent the major aspects of the state: the Missions, River Walk, Palo Duro Canyon, etc. Well worth a visit with a camera.

~sigh~, Bruce, they look quite close to being film. Plugin, or your own actions?

Harris,

I take my color photo and boost contrast and then use a mild application of a special effect in Paint Shop Pro X called "Photo Effects - Infrared" to get the B&W conversion I want. This particular effect works better for me than the regular B&W conversion: this effect has more "pop."

Here's another:

Why would someone not be interested in black and white?

You have certainly found the answer to converting color to b&w. I like it!
