HELP With Wedding and Reception Locations Please. - 09-07-2006, 01:32 AM

Hey guys and gals,

I have a very good friend of mine who is getting married in April of next year and as long as I still have my camera I will be doing the photos for his wedding.

What I would like to find out is if any one here knows of some good places he could have the wedding and reception at. They are not finding very many places that are like $$$$$$$$.

Not 100% sure what their budget is but would like for it to be nice as possible and hold at least 200 + for the reception.

Any ideas you could give me would be greatly appreciated , if you have links or ideas please post them here because they are doing some recabling with my internet at home and could be a while before I could respond from the house but I can check the thread from work.

THANKS,

STEVE

Well, I don't know where in the metroplex they live, but my church just opened it's brand new building and it's beautiful. This link - http://www.ccbcfamily.org/atb.html has some computer renderings of the church, no real photos unfortunatly.

No suggestions on the reception. We had ours at the Fort Worth Club, which I'm sure wasn't cheap, plus you have to have a member sponser you.

I have photographed several weddings at The Country Abbey in Justin. Their fee for a four hour wedding and reception for 200 on a Saturday is less than $ 2K. It is a nice facility and the staff is very friendly. You can do your own decorating and reception goodies or they can arrange everything for you. here is the website

Naomi is the owner and she is very easy to work with.

The White Room in central Arlington (off Park Row and Bowen). They have a nice banquet facility and a larger chapel room off the main room. They can do weddings and reception together. Full service facility.

I believe "Historic Fort Worth YWCA" is pretty reasonable and nice inside. My sister is using it next fall for her wedding and reception.
