Weeds look happy, why, even here in the new central desert of Texas, the weeds look happy.

Is Lake lavon a man made lake ? Perhaps it is reverting to its original condition.

You know, they just built a new lake here in Pflugerville, and we went out there right after they filled it up - I need to go take a look and see how much water is in it now...

Capt. Tom, pretty safe to say that it is man-made, as Caddo is considered the only natural lake in Texas of any size. Apparently there are some smaller natural ones, but my search did not turn up any names.

It does look like it's going back to it's former ground cover. Eventually that grass should be good for the fish.

We need some rain, and lots of it!

Lavon is definately man-made. Caddo WAS the only natural lake in Texas, but it has a man-made dam now, but they still consider it natural somehow?

The only other types of natural lakes in Texas would be oxbow lakes.

Hopefully we will start getting some rain this winter to bring lake levels throughout the state back to normal.
