John Force and daughter Ashley, John referenced this special letter his daughter wrote him all weekend and after he won the race he pulled it out of his driving suit for the photos.

2-day Super Seat holder here for 13yrs ;) But 1st yr there with my 20D & a 200mm lens. Yeah!! Thanks for the photo of my boy Kalitta. He's the man to beat this year. At least for now. LOL. Really like your drag boat photos on your website Mike.

I have been goign for either 13 or 14 yrs not sure, I am 22 now so I was quite young the first year I went, I remember one year we didn't go because it looked like it would be a wash-out but they ended up getting the show in. Thanks for the comments, if you hang out in your seats at the end of the race you can get some real good shots of the awards ceremony, thats where I snuck over to get the photos of the force's. I always wondered what the view was like from the superseats, cool, but I prefer to be down track so you get a real sense of the speed, the finish line seats are fun too. They haul ass on that end.

I wish they still did it like they used to, 2 races a year in ennis and 2 a year in houston.

I hear ya Mike. I was sooooo disappointed that Beaumont actually built a track & took the Spring Nationals away from Ennis. The SS are great for getting up close shots when they are doing the burnouts & of the starting tree, but I generally head for the end of the track right beneath the lane clocks during qualifying to get the coming at ya shots :) I cant wait to use my new camera there this year. Hope for a lot better shots.

Oh hell yeah. Will do. I dont, of course, know what I'm wearing yet .. 'cause I'm a girl but I'll keep an eye out for ya for sure. This is one of the best motorsports events of the year here. Ya know they're finally bringing back the drag bikes in '07? YEAH!!

Havent been to the boat drags in Waco in many years. Is the old Mickey's on the River still there? And yes, I know how old that makes me hahaha. Had some seriously drunken afternoons on that old patio at the boat races there in the 80s.

Shame they're forecasting 50% chance of rain tomorrow. Will have to break out the target bag & duct tape for the camera
