"Wings and Wheels" airshow

Mesquite is having its annual Wings and Wheels Airshow on October 14, 2006, at the Mesquite Metro Airport from 10AM to 4PM.

"The event hosts a wide range of static aircraft displays ranging from modern to WWII vintage aircraft, antique cars and motorcycles. The day's activities will include live music, food, arts and crafts, model airplane demonstrations and special activities for children.

This year's event is expected to add a new attraction. Pending FAA approval, the airport will host a small aerobatic airshow performed by world-renowned stunt pilot Jan Collmer.
Ticket sales begin in late September and will be $5 for adults and children over 14 years of age. The Southeast Dallas Rotary Club and Mesquite Metro Airport will sponser the event jointly."
