The shooting will be mostly candids...
There will be outdoor and indoor shooting.
Live music will be through out the day and evening.
The event starts on Friday evening and runs all day Saturday and in to Saturday night... I ain't sure what time the grounds will close on Saturday and Sunday.
But, I'll find out.
I believe we will be able to set up a small back drop, but not certain.
I'll find out for sure.
The location of this event will have plenty as well.
I have worked many events like this, everywhere from 40 to 50 folks to several thousand.
What I am needing are shooters that ain't the least bit shy or apprehensive about approaching strangers and asking if they would like thier photo shot.
Most are going to be receptive, and the ones that aren't, I tell them to enjoy thier day and move on.
After the shots are done, the shooter tells them how and where to view\buy the photo.
When there are several shooters, the quickest and easiest way is to have a Sharpie and write the image number and the shooters initials on the victims..errr customers hands.
It's been my experience that most folks don't mind this at all and know the reason and if they don't want to do that, give them a sticky note.
I have experimented with different ways to expedite the process and have come up with a good system, that works very well when all equipment is working correctly.
I have 2 fairly fast notebooks and 4 Canon iP6600D printers.
I also have an 8 port switch to use when I need to.
So, what I am needing are probably 2 more shooters and 2 folks to work the print station.
The folks that are on the print station need to be pretty savvy and fast on XP.
They will also need to be able to 'close the deal', meaning asking the customers "What size would you like and how many?"
The quicker we get money out of the folks hands and the prints in those hands, the more money can be made.
I have done over $800 in sales doing everything myself, shooting, selling and printing (with one computer also) in about 5 hours time and this was at a benefit at a medium sized night club in Fort Worth.
At the Fort Worth Margarita Ball last year, myself and one other shooter did over $1100 in sales in about 4 hours.
I have also done as little as 20 and 25 bucks at other events.
So, if this still interests you, let me know.
