Free Admission... - 09-26-2006, 09:55 AM

I believe new this year is the admission - FREE (w/ the $8 parking fee). Should be a good show this year.

Too bad I'll be in Oklahoma...I didn't want to miss this.

I'll be waiting for pics though.

For those that have gone before, just how crowded does it get. We are planning on arriving sat late morning.

I would go with the long reach if possible if you can adequately steady the shot handheld.
A mono pod if you are comfortable.

I usually go quite early, but there is lots of parking. Obviously, the later the arrival, the longer the trek in will be.

I think I'm going to be there Saturday. Taking the kiddo, and a neighbor to take a peek. Should be good.

My experience at Alliance was not pretty. The line of cars on I35W was miles long.
Keep in mind that there is a huge car show this weekend at TMS as well. I am keeping as far away of I35 as possible.......

With the show being FREE and the weather pretty warm, I expect they will have a record crowd this year.

But, I bet it will be a GREAT AIRSHOW.....

Should be a great show. They do not allow fly-in traffic, so I will not be attending. Please post pictures of what I missed.

You are right on all counts. Traffic along 35 stunk. Took me an hour and a half to get in. The show was GREAT but the weather was hot. I also could not find my car in the literal sea of cars so it took me 30 minutes just to find it!! People were using their panic buttons to find their cars. Overall it was a great time. I wasn't in a big hurry to be anywhere today so I really didn't mind too much.

I love you guys who brave'd the traffic to get the great shots of what I missed.

Regards,
Sash
