Just a note about the possible future of the Baker Hotel. I know some of us have made it our there...

I saw that...very intresting article.

I've also been to the Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs...it was un-canny how similar it looks to the Baker.

This is somethign that could seriously bring Mineral Wells downtown area back from the dead. That town's hey-day was about 80 years ago.

Yeah I had heard about the deal where a bunch of people were planning to go in October, I wonder if they have all heard about the city council ruling. Sad to hear about copper thieves breaking into the place.

That place is going to eat up a lot of $$$ to get it back into shape.

It will take several million to get it back in place but, from what I heard, the guy about to buy the place is planning on gutting the building and redoing everything anyway.

We are trying to get a group there. What's up? I haven't heard anything from Leslie or Dokk. Has the city council shut it down?

I tried to call Jayne in Mineral Wells to see what the status was and she hasn't returned my call so I'm not really sure what's up at this time.
