Has anyone ever been to this place to shot pics of their cats? They are in Boyd, TX. As much as I love Pug Mark, I'm trying to find other places that will allow me to shoot more than just tigers. Specifically, I'm looking for Jaguars but I'd love to shoot just about any exotic cat.

I called these folks and they allow tours, but they don't really allow "Photographers Tours". I could go out there and take pics, but I would have to stay 3 feet away from the fence. I've been spoiled by Pug Mark where we could be right up against the fence and sticking our lens barrels through. I'm wondering if anyone has been to this place and what kind of images they came away with.

Wes ,like I said there is no other place like pug mark , you have been spoiled, and on top of all that pug mark is one of the few places where you hold all your image rights .

Very good point. In fact it's most important.

Theres no place like Pug Mug like Tom says, i know the girl who owns probably the BIGGEST out there its in Wylie http://www.insyncexotics.com/home.htm
she has about 35 - 40 cats, she will let you shoot but its about 80 bux AND she gets a copy of all pics including the culls, and a cut off any that are sold.
Long live pug mug lol

Howdy X,

I went out there a while ago, very interesting place, but it's not photographer friendly. I don't mean this as a slam, but the animals are the main concern and they don't do anyting that will allow them to be upset. A lot of the animals there are from "Rescues" and other breeding programs that have failed, and so as soon as one of the cats becomes a little nervous, the Guide moves everyone on. It is a nice place to go see a very wide selection of Big Cat's, and some very rare ones, but due to the containment areas they are very difficult to get through the wires and other obstacles for decent shots at least for me anyway .

I highly recommend it as a place to visit, but if your wanting shots of Big Cats from what I have seen you will not be offered the type of shooting experience as PugMug.

Take care,
