Not sure what you mean by photo safari but we were in an open jeep with a roof. We were drove around finding animals. No one is allowed to step out of the jeep.

Thanks. I rented the 100 - 400 IS L Lense. Had a monopod with me but room to use it since youdon't know which direction te animals will be. There were 6 ppl in the jeep so kinda hard to move around with monopod attached.
