I found a couple of interesting spots for shooting. The Cedar Hill State Park in S. Dallas, has the Penn Farm in it. Nice place for Barns and period shots. Early 1900.
Then over in N. Dallas, 2 Miles West of 35 on Sandy Lake is a NAture Center, You need to turn in next to the Sports Center. Where BTW, the have a lot of teams playing Soccer and B. Ball should that be your gig.

Don't forget Old City Park, Fair Park for Art Deco style backgrounds (have not really seen a good shoot making use of Fair Park as a high fashion background), White Rock Lake/Arboretum for it's style of background, and numerous neighborhoods with their own charm.

Fair park is busy with the Fair for now- if you want the art deco, wait a month until it's deserted (and free!). Personally, I like the train museum, too.

I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by,
and then it petered out and I had to retrace my steps and wasted half a day.
