I drive by this fairly often, and thought, what the heck. I know Dallas gets a bad rap for scenery, but I always think it's cool driving down Spur 408.

It's originally a panorama (which I'm completely new to), so bare with it a bit :)

There are so many awesome scenes around this area. Of course, I can't seem to get them to translate to the camera.

There's a nice one off the north-bound service road of loop 12 coming off Illinois Ave. I tried to find a place to park over there, but just couldn't make it happen, so I stopped on the opposite side of the highway and snapped some of the other side.

There's also a really good scene right when you get onto Spur 408 from IH-20, but I can't figure out where you could park over there. Drives me nuts. But it's spectacular. There's even a little pond. Of course, it's probably all gated off, in true style.

But, of course, regardless, I can't seem to compose a shot for my life.

If you do make it out over there, post some pics! I want to see how a pro makes it look!

I was thinking of hitting Mt. Creek Parkway this weekend and trying to get a shot of the IH 20 "mountain". Someone mentioned it on here the other day, and I've been thinking about trying to snap a 1/2 decent picture of it...

Here is a shot I took in that area last week. There is several nice areas to shoot around Mountain Creek Pkwy & I20.

I took it with my A640.
