Weston Gardens again - 05-06-2005, 02:43 PM

It's Bruce's fault I says. :P Taking those pics at Weston Gardens caused me to spend some time there back on April 23. I knew as soon as I told my wife about it that's where we would be heading that Saturday. My pics aren't nearly as good as some I've seen so I've been reluctant to post them. These are some I may have missed in some other posts.

That old bridge is continuing to fall apart... I have a pic around here somewhere of it from about 16 months ago, not nearly that bad.

The Ghost Lilly and the B&W of the Windmill are both stunning pics. Thanks for sharing them.

BTW: I wanted that windmill shot, but I couldn't find the right angle fast enough and pretty soon my wife was down the path impatiently waiting for me to catch up; I missed it. But, you really got it. :)

Well, I wanted one of the ship across the creek but there was no place to get where something didn't block the view. I may go back when the trees lose their foliage next winter if their open just for that. And my wife was doing the same thing (wondering off) but she wasn't going to far since I had the keys to my truck. She won't drive it even if she had the keys. Claims it's too BIG :D

The ghost lilly just happened with the DOF. Pure accident.

Brad, looked like you could walk across the bridge to me. They had signs up telling you not to though. Just stay off the right side hand rail!!

Thanks for the comments gentlemen.

This is what that old bridge looked like about this time last year... it was roped off, but I managed to finagle my way around the roped off area to snap this angle...

For us "non-finaglers," this is the best perspective I could come up with. Besides, I was scared I might take a header into the creek

I love the perspective on the second shot...from above. It adds to the precarious condition of the bridge and sets up a nice tension. Well done.
