To get into the pilot program, that's true. At least, that was the requirement when I joined. But once you have earned your wings, they are not going to throw you out of the cockpit unless you vision really starts to gets bad. It probably costs a million bucks to train a pilot in the military these days. They aren't going to throw that away just because someone's vision drops to 20/30. As long as they can still do the job, they are good to go.
