Oh, I hear ya! I had more than my fair share of CAX's and WTI's and there were times I would have killed for a hot slider and fries and some cold bug juice!

My ship experience was for about 10 days off the Cali coast on a Colonel Usher exercise. We could see the shore, just couldn't get there. Yeah, it was fun, loads of fun...

LOL! I think you may have more time on a boat than I do. I was only out for CQ on occasion.

I do agree, though. It's a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

My Ass Rides In Navy Equipment :)

My last three years in the Navy was spent as USCINCPAC (otherwise known as PACOM). It was a joint-service assignment, and personally, I consider myself very lucky to have been chosen for and served at a joint service command during Operation Desert Storm (and some smaller operations that never made the paper).

I have to say that out of all the service-people I dealt with at that command, both O and E, there were some pretty sharp folks wearing those Marine uniforms. I kid about the Marine joke I wrote above, but if I ever end up in a foxhole, I hope I a Marine jumps in with me :)
