Christmas Background - 11-13-2006, 11:42 AM

I've got a few people asking if I can do their Christmas photos. I don't want to rely on some cheesy backdrop and would prefer to do something outside. Does anyone have any ideas on where we can go? I may have to wait until they put up the big tree in Fort Worth, but I'd like options on other places that might work.

Thanks!

I'm going to be shooting a family (friends) at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine. They dress that place up really nicely for the Christmas season.

You could always fly to the Rockies and shoot, snow already has been falling this year.

Oh, if ONLY that were an option!

John - thanks! I hadn't thought of the Gaylord. What kind of problems do they have with photogs coming out and doing this sort of thing?

Erin - where exactly did you get that shot? That's exactly what I'm looking for!

As long as you don't look like a professional, you shouldn't have any problems. Act casually, use a monopod if you have one, and if approached by security just tell them you're an amateur not a pro. You really should be fine though.
