Xmas location needed ASAP in DFW area - 11-14-2006, 07:16 PM

I've got a client who's mom will be in town on Friday 11/17 , and he wants to shoot a Christmas card with her.
Does anyone know of any areas that are already set up with Christmas decorations, etc. ???

or

Someone help me pop the two into a pre existing Christmas scene in PS ???

I think the Shops at Legacy (Legacy and the Tollway in Plano) have theirs up.

We drove by the Gaylord Friday night and some stuff was already up on SH 26. It was dark and it was not lit, but perhaps they are further along now.

Grapevine has their wreaths up on the lamp poles and the train station had some Christmas inflateables set up on the platform last weekend.

Solona puts those huge Christmas balls up every year. No idea if they are out yet, or if they will change decorations this year. If you happen to be by there, check them out.

Call Flower Mound Historical Park. They had some good stuff up last year, and it's a great venue.

Gaylord has just opened their Ice Exhibt
http://www.gaylordhotels.com/gaylordtexan/ICE.cfm

"North Texans are getting ready for the big freeze!
Imagine a 14,000 square foot structure, kept at 9 degrees, filled with two million pounds of hand-carved ICE! The ice will be carved into magical life-sized holiday monuments and sculptures by artisans from Harbin China.
The attraction, which will keep North Texas chillin', runs from November 16, 2006 through January 6, 2007.
Guests will be thrilled with the fantasy in ice, exciting slides, dramatic lighting and soaring music. ICE! is part of the Lone Star Christmas celebration which will feature holiday activities for the entire family. Dressed in oversized parkas, guests will pass through a Texas-themed portal leaving the last bit of sunny Texas behind them. A cowboy snowman and poinsettias, rendered in ICE!, bid them welcome and wish them well on their tour of fantasy!

The client actually rescheduled for some inane reason (at least to me).
So, thanks to all the ideas, but by the time I shoot them again, it will be after T-day and there will be Xmas everywhere.
