Weekend trip to Dallas Texas

I though I would post this to see if anybody can guess where this was shot from. It was shot from a known place in Dallas not just a street location. Actually I don't know the street name or number.

Both of these are great shots. The second one has great division of space and is chock full of interesting jigsaw like pieces. Great eye.

I don't know where it's taken from but I guarantee I'll look for it next time I'm there.

Thanks for posting these,

gary

the second one, a church (obvious) *might* be somewhere close to Thanksgiving Square. Actually I have no clue, I'm more of a Ft Worth kinda guy, but the silver diamond shaped siding on the building to the right looks like what I've seen on a building next to TS.

just a wild guess.

I keep a "Pocket" camera with me at all times... Kodak DX4530
Pete,

Your obvious skills as a photographer aside, it's apparent that the Kodak DX4530 is one of those "sleeper" P&S which do a fantastic job. I have a Nikon CoolPix 4300 which I carry around, and its results often amaze me especially as I'm struggling to get comparable results from supposedly better, more sophisticated cameras :)

Of course, it's never the camera primarily. We have many members on this forum who could go out with an old Brownie Instamatic and get good shots. From the pictures, you've posted here, I suspect you may be another one. Keep on sharing your work with us :D

BTW: Here's what Steve of "Steve's Digicams" syas about your camera:
"The DX4530 is an entry-level yet high resolution camera with a quality 3x optical zoom lens. This is a perfect camera for anyone that wants to easily capture sharp and well saturated pictures, indoors or out, with little or no prior experience."
