Need Outdoor Location Between GVine and Coppell - 11-20-2006, 04:48 PM

Anyone have any suggestions for an outdoor location somewhere between Grapevine and Coppell? I have a shoot Saturday, and they want outdoor shots.

The Grapevine Botanic Gardens are out because of the fees.

Thanks for any input!

I don't understand that statement. Are you saying that you client is too CHEAP to pay the nominal fee. Or that you made that decision for them. BTW it is not FREE to shoot in a studio. Now shooting at the Gaylord is expensive.

My guess is that you are not getting paid to do this in the first place.

If this were my client I would tell them that we can do this session in your back yard for no fee or we can go to this nice garden and YOU can pay the fee of $ ??. I don't remember what the fee is, but it wasn't outrageous. If you hadn't limited the area I could recommend the garden at Texas Woman's Univ. in Denton.

No, I am getting paid, but don't want to use the garden and their fee for this one.

I know it is not FREE in a studio. I have one.

There is a nice lake at Fellowship Church. East side of the church, also has a gunning track around it. Late afternoon would not be good as there are 2 Sat. services, 5:00 and 6:30.
This is on the east side of 121, across from Grapevine Mills Mall. Norht bound on 121, exit at Bas Pro Dr. and stay on the service road for about 3/4 mile. Cant miss it.
Also, what about the Canals in the Las Collinas?

As far as I understand it, there is no fee at the Botanical Garden in Grapevine, if you are not charging a fee. The fee is applicable only if you are receiving compensation for your photography.

That is true, but I am charging fees. I do a lot of work for the City of Grapevine and wouldn't want to jeapordize that by shooting there without paying the fee.
