This involves someone entering a bar in Dallas with a gun and since he was a fool he ended up emasculating himself. http://www.barkingdogs.org/news/node/265
What I would like to know is why didn't the cops charge him with carrying a firearm into a bar? Did they feal sorry for stubby? | | | | | Sponsored Links | Premium Members do not see Google advertisements. SIGN UP today and help support our community.

Maybe they didn't charge him because they were laughing so hard they couldn't call in the paperwork.

Hey we need to call in CSI and determine is this a cocktail onion and cocktail weenie or something else?
The guy had to be bleeding like a stuck pig with those injuries or he was carrying a very small caliber handgun, guess his own handgun is smaller caliber now.
Guy must have been toasted to not be screaming out in pain after it happened.

When I see an incident reported where it doesn't give a time, a place, or any names or sources, I tend to get suspicious if it was a real happening or the newest urban legend.

According to my husband Paul, Who has his CHL (Concealed Hangun Licence) You can carry a gun into a bar if you have your CHL and as long as the bar does not have the proper signage posted that it is illegal to carry a gun. This could be the reason no charges were pressed against him for carrying a gun into a bar. =)
BTW What a Dumb @$$!!!!! My opinion, if he DOES have a CHL I hope to GOD they pull it for this stupid move! hehehe

WHOA, WHOA, WHOA!!!!!!! That's not true in most cases. If an establishment derives 51% or more of it's income from alcohol, then it is most definitely illegal to carry a gun inside....even with a CHL......even without the 30.06 sign. This can even be a problem in some restaurants that have popular bars.
Texas CHL regulations can be found here.

Be very, very careful. Those laws can be very tricky!!

Yeah the bar vs gun thing is a big NO NO same as a liqour store even if no signage is posted.
I know Avi and he doesn't post LEGENDS, this was an actual incident and he just doesn't want to give the bar free advertising since that particular bar is one that he is fighting to close down for various noise/parking/permit violations.

Actually, it is OK to carry concealed (if you have a CHL, of course) in a liquor store, or grocery store, or anywhere else that sells package goods for off-premises consumption, as long as they do not have the 30.06 sign posted. The 51% statute only applies to carrying concealed weapons into an establishment where the sale of alcohol is for on-premises consumption (ie: bar, saloon, etc). So as long as the liquor store doesn't have a bar in the back room, or a 30.06 sign posted out front, it should be legal to carry there.
Dang, these laws are complicated.

"I know Avi and he doesn't post LEGENDS"
Okay, just wondered, cause usually the lack of specific info is one of the signs that it maybe didn't happen. You'd think the Dallas paper would pick it up, for that matter.
I go to the dentist and they have a sign saying "No fire arms on premises etc". And I think to myself, "What's the world coming to when you can't tote a shootin' iron to the dentist office?"

I bet the dentist has narcotics on his property so the laws about guns get all sticky wicket there.
I bet the guy is dancing bow legged for a while! | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
