3 PM in the Arts District to the West End, should be able to find some location with decent light on the parade along the route.
Hope they do it up TEXAS STYLE!

So who all is going to shoot the return of the parade?

Heard on the news that $45 tickets are selling for $10 on the open market for the Game, could be a heck of a buy to see a Bowl Game for that cheap! Weather looks like it will just be chilly at kickoff.

Anybody Else going to shoot this? Guys it's worth going to just for the Killgore Rangerettes!
Heck You can even see one of the Great Cowboys since Pro Football Hall of Famer Rayfield Wright is Headlining the Parade!
Here is the list of all the bands, floats, etc

Another parade I will miss out on.

I prefer the Kilgore Rangerettes over the TJC Apache Belles. With the way the Rangerettes fix their hair and their uniforms they look like down home country girls. (not that there is anything wrong with city girls) But the way the Belles have their hair pulled back come across to me as having a stuck up look. IMHO

I like to see women in country attire or bunker gear.

Yeah the Rangerettes were in the Christmas Parade and I got there to late to really get some pre-parade pics down like I want to, today I will be there in plenty of time to get some good pics.
Now if it would just warm up a bit! (Windchill of 36 is brisk!)

Lots and Lots and Lots of PRETTY GIRLS!!!!!!

It was a nice parade though the wind was a bit much with the cold.

I could not have been at a much better spot-Ch 4's video guy was just over my right shoulder so everybody either stopped or slowed down for him! He was doing a live feed to the net-don't know if they will put up a highlight loop or not on Fox 4.

Well I arrived early enough to do some pre-parade shooting and I walked into a passell of cute women in Cheerleading outfits who turned out to the the Rangerettes FOREVER group with past rangerettes all the way back to the 1940's till some who had been out for just a year or two. Then I came upon the Rangerettes and then so many High School Groups all trying to keep warm before the parade.

Well loading up the pics now as I speak-under my Parades Album.

This was a nice birthday treat!

Quite a few Nebraska and Auburn fans were lining the street for the parade along with bands from all over (see the link above showing the list) parade went smooth except for one float that had no people on it! (ClearChannel Radio Stations!))

So now time to go get my annual Birthday Chinese Dinner! Will be working up the parade pics later and tommorrow- there are some real keepers here!

Well I might as well jump in here. I had a great time shooting at the parade today and have some photos to post. C/C are welcome, but keep in mind that these are my FIRST PHOTOS posted on the forum.

The rest of my parade photos are here: http://darrenwilson.smugmug.com/gallery/2298377 I'd like to hear your feedback.
