I'd like to come check out that 18-200 at Arlington Camera.

I'm a newbie TPFer - anyone else going to be there? I'd like to go on Saturday.. what time?

Would be a good chance to meet some peeps...

I went there earlier today and it was worth the trip. They had a D2X, D200 w/Grip, D80 w/Grip, D50, D40, and alot of nice glass out for everyone to test out. They also had the 18-200VR on the D200. Seems like it would be a nice 'carry around' lens. I was impressed(never used one before) with the 70-200VR lens the most though. It seemed very quick, responsive and sharp on a D50.

So many nice toys.

I ordered my 18-200 VR there. Their price was a little lower than that online, but with sales tax it worked out about the same. The good thing was they required no deposit or credit card number. As to when it will arrive....who knows

I was told there that the only way to get the 18-200 right now was to order it as a kit lense. Oh well I will just have to get the 28-70 and 70-300. Actually have the 70-300 IF VR on lay-a-way there
