Thats the good news. The bad is that it is for a non-profit that does not have deep pockets.

It will be at Lone Star Park on Saturday Feb 3 2007. Starts at 6 PM

What we have previously done is take a shot of each couple as they arrive and provide them with a print as they leave. Nothing fancy, just a 3.5*5. Some pics of the event for a subsequent newsletter would also be needed.

You would also have the opportunity to sell a package to any of the patrons who like thier pic.

I worked five years at a "not for profit" agency.

MOTTO #1 "Just because they are not for profit, doesn't mean they don't have any money !"

This is not a freebie. Its a paid gig.

I have just read enough on forums to know this will not pay close to a wedding event with portraits and purchase of many prints and albums. It would be good for three to four hours of work by most standards.

You also get a free second shooter...Me...but keep your expectations low.

Would I have to provide the means to print the photos on site, or do you have a way to do that ??

I would encourage folks to consider doing this. NFP gatherings are always fun.

Not necessarily. Last year a print was given at the event. Previous have been online with one free print mailed and the opportunity to order more for a fee.

Nothing is set in stone.

You would also not be required to stay for the entire duration. The last two hours or so after the dinner are just a party after the awards dinner. I will then be free to take some party pics during that portion.

Don't know this forum well enough to post a price range or if that's OK.

Strobes have previously been used, but not a huge set up. I would not say it is an absolute must - just preferable.

There is a good mural that can be used a backdrop.

Are the strobes provided? Do you know approximately what the job will pay?

No Strobes provided. From reading the sticky wedding photographers thread, the pay has been low to moderate on that scale.
