YEah I think that was the Armour plant there was another companys sluaghter house there also (memory fails me), Cattle/pigs entered at the top floor of the building and finished product was loaded onto trains at the docks along the tracks. (I had an Uncle who worked in one for a short time in the 40's before he had an industrial accident that almost killed him. He was working on a walkway over one of the hot dipping tanks and it gave way with him falling into the tank-almost killed him).

Yeah it was Swift.
I think the Spaghetti Warehouse on the hill has some pictures of the area from the early 1900s on, not sure if any of the production kill lines or not. Also there is a museum downtown in an old fire station that has all sorts of photos of Ft Worth History.

Man it looks like the Swift plant would be fun to light paint. Anybody know what street it is on and if there is a legal way to get inside the fence?

It's located right next to Billy Bob's and the Stockyards. . . just to the east at the end of Exchange. . .I am pretty sure it is fenced and it's not in the best of neighborhoods. . . I would advise to not go alone.

I would agree on the neighborhood thing, but Ronnie and I are fairly large people so we felt somewhat safe. Not to mention the tripod I have is very heavy...lol
