If Keith doesn't mind, we can make this the official F-35 first flight page ???

Mine are on Pbase, and seem to have lost a ton of detail in the transition.

Edited - updated pictures

Yup. Found a spot, and just waited a few minutes. As you know, you can miss them if you aren't paying attention. Wasn't it a beautiful day for a certification flight ??

First of all great pictures Keith and Tom. Ya'll did a good job getting the first flight of the F35. But, are my eyes deceiving me or is that one ugly plane?!?!

It's, uh, "chunky". But it flies, and that made my morning!

It is fully stealth. In fact, I didn't even actually see the plane today. I think they just projected a hologram out there for the photographers and crowd.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It doesn't have "classic" lines, but I guess that's the trade off you make for the improved technology, ala Space Shuttle.

It's going to be "chunky" as you call it. Everything is stored inside the plane. As opposed to the everything attached underneath like it is on the F-16 photos.
