Hey guys I was wondering if any of you are experienced in sensor/mirror cleaning. I'll clean my 30D myself but i'm a little apprehensive about cleaning my dads 1D MK2N.. Actually.. I cleaned the sensor and the mirror and the spots that were on the pictures were lessened but not gone. I then cleaned it again but more spots showed up. Maybe someone can help me out with this?? I wont hold anyone responsible lol. I'm limited to my cleaning supplies as well. If someone wants to volunteer, thats great, if you want some cash for your time, thats fine too. Please let me know. I'm in North Dallas (Richardson) . Here's a pic below of the "junk" inside the camera. Thanks!

Bobby

you can see spots everywhere.. the more I clean, the worse it gets!!

Go to Archinal on Main in Richardson and he will take good care of you and he isn't that expensive and if you take your supplies with you he will show you proper technique (the show part is what has been posted here before).

cool thanks! I'll check out the place tomorrow and see what he charges and get some pointers. This is the only thing I hate about DSLRs..the dam dust specs!

I know the one guy that I have dealt with for the last 20 years is the main one there but not sure if he has a couple other guys doing major benchwork repairs. For the life of me I can't think of his name.
