DFW Toy Run from Ft Worth! - 12-17-2006, 09:55 PM

The DFW Christmas Toy Run from Ft. Worth on Sunday Dec 17, 06. Perfect Weather, Perfect Day, And a whole lotta kids are going to have a much Merrier Christmas because of the fantastic turnout of area motorcyclists. This has to be the biggest toy run ever, anywhere.
Thousands of bikes took part from Ft. Worth, and this is only one third of the total participation!
The Fort Worth Area Entourage took over an hour and fifteen minutes to pass my vantage point. It seemed like the procession would never end! More Pictures Here!

Merry Christmas!!!

You documented this one well, Paul. Looks to be a very different kind of event. Coming back from church we saw the people lining up along I-30 heading east out of Fort Worth. Your vantage point appears to have been just before the Oakland Exit.

You nailed it Bruce. I wanted a location where I could see a lot of highway and get the skyline of downtown in some of the pictures.
I had a lot of motion blur in some of my pics though, which took some work. At times the procession moved by at a much faster clip than I anticipated.

No respect in the Star Telegram though. This was probably the biggest charity event for kids in the Metroplex, and it didn't even rate a mention! At least not that I could find!!!

Great pics! I just forwarded them to my husband. He had to work Saturday, so we didn't get to ride. He was really disappointed! It is definitely disappointing that it doesn't get more coverage.

After careful scrutiny I finally found a small picture and a few words of text on the last page of the NorthEast section.
It doesn't begin pay homage to the efforts, and value that were put forth by the multiple thousands of good people who participated in this event. I saw some pretty expensive gifts riding on the backs of some of these folks bikes.......!
