Help!!

I need to borrow or rent a 300 2.8 for Nikon for an assignment tomorrow with the Telegram with a monopod. I will be happy to pay to use it. It will be used at the Bass Hall, so it won't be used in any rough pj type situation. I promise to be very gentle, and I can even return it tomorrow after transmitting. Thanks ahead of time!

Thanks, Mike, but I don't think I have the credit to rent one, unfortunately, or I would. The one time I rented one, I had to put up a $1000 cash deposit b/c I only had a debit/credit card.

that is crazy I rent from arlingtong camera all the time and they don't do that, but I know arlingtong camera does not rent the nikkor 300 f2.8

I have rented the SB-800 a few times from Fort Worth Camera and have never asked for a deposit just your credit account number just in case something happens. I would call and ask if they require deposit. Maybe its different for a lense????

Call Ft. Worth Camera and explain your situation. It couldn't hurt.
They are very nice folks there, and maybe you can leave your drivers license or something.
Let them know who you are, what you are shooting, and for the startlegram.

All they can say is NO.

Biggest fast glass that I have is an 80-200 2.8, if I had a 300 2.8 I would let you borrow it. (No monopod yet either).

Ask for Jeff (the owner of Fort Worth Camera).. Tell him you know Andrew from Crystal Clear Media (not sure that would help.. might hurt.. LOL).. But I have rented from him a lot...never deposit..just credit card # on file in case.

Leslie - I have a monopod with a quick release you can borrow but I am out in BFE today (Springtown) but I could meet you in FTW. I only have an 80-200 as well, but you are welcome to it.

Debbi, that is so sweet! I don't know my way around Ft. Worth at all, except to get to the Telegram, but that would be awesome if I could borrow it, only if it's not a problem for you at all. If it is, no worries. Oh, and I would only need the monopod b/c I have an 80-200. Thanks!
