Location needed - Similar to Hotel Zaza - 01-04-2007, 02:03 PM

So here's the deal, Greg and I have a customer that needs a location to shoot a commercial image for his project. We would love to use the Dangerous Beauty room at Hotel Zaza, but they refuse to allow any commercial shoots at the hotel. I've been around and around with them, but no go. There will be models involved but no porn or nudity as usual.

We need a romantic old world look for the shot. Does anyone have any ideas in the D/FW area that might be available? We're not looking for a freebie. We were willing to pay the rack rate at Zaza ($1000) just to give you an idea of the budget.

I need something before the end of the month.

You might want to try the Magnolia Hotel in Downtown Dallas.

Or you might want to try the Adolphus Hotel as well.

Check the Mansion on Turtle Creek as well and there are a few other boutique hotels in town.

What about the Stockyards hotel in Ft. Worth or maybe Etta's Place in Downtown Ft. Worth?

Scott,

Try the historic Rogers Hotel in Waxahachie. It's on the northeast corner of the square.

Scott, try the Belmont Hotel (www.belmontdallas.com). I know they allow commercial shoots there, but no idea what the rate is. Not quite as 'swanky' as ZaZa, but may fit the bill.
I've got a number for the manager there. If you need it, PM me.

I'll keep that one in mind, but the decor is a little modern for this shoot. We're looking for more old world romance. It looks like a cool place for a 60's-70's retro shoot though. I just might be interested in that for another idea I have. I'll PM for more information in a couple of weeks. Thanks!
