Did a quick search here but didn't see a previous posting. It looks like they are relocating the plaza to facilitate some improvements to the airport. http://www.dfwairport.com/flyer/07/0...ers_plaza.html

"The relocation of the local landmark is necessary to facilitate the construction of the perimeter taxiway, which will enhance airfield safety by reducing runway crossings."

Interesting. That's the first I've heard about this. Seems like we are always the last ones to know.

Dont feel bad I didnt know until just now. I LOVE That place. Sad to see it close even if it is temporary. Its a great place to get away and kind of collect your thoughts, take in a good sunset or just to hang out and watch the planes go in and out.

But I wander if the new plaza will have a good view as the old.

As soon as I get my toy hauler sold I wanted to get my 1DsMII fixed and go to Arlington to get some L glass. And that was the first place I wanted to head to play with that new glass when I left the camera store.
