Snow Day Shots! - 01-17-2007, 11:25 AM

Woohoo!

Okay, I've determined that taking pictures of stuff in snow IS HARD! Everything came out really really dark... had to keep twiddling with the controls before I got a halfway decent exposure...

I'm very new at the exp. compensation / flash compensation stuff... so did the best I could.

These look fine. When shooting in snow, an EC of +2/3 to +1 really helps in keeping the snow white. Of course, with the red rose, you then risk blowing out (over-exposing) the red channel. I think you did well here.

Thanks for the tip! (and the kind words)

I've still got a LOT to learn about tweaking this camera in between shots... (D200)

Maybe to stick in my non-existant porfolio...???

This is more my 'wall art' style--> Posted in City Life
