Any tips on some strong, outdoor urban locations you might know of in dwntwn Dallas/Deep Ellum?

I'm shooting a female model outdoors during the day and I'm looking for some free and accesible locations. I'm going with a fall/winter urban look and feel type of shoot.

Thanks in advance!

Open shade and a reflector are your best friends... an assistant if you can manage to hold the reflector (an escort often works very well for this task and makes them feel part of the shoot!)

there are SEVERAL good spots in Deep Ellum. There is a really good wall that has a LOT of graffiti on it next to deep sushi. What I recommend is go out to Deep ellum and walk around. you will find places better that way.

Paul is the expert on what's in Deep Ellum right now... a lot of the graffiti has been "cleaned up" (aka removed)

Still lots of colorful walls and places... just not as "urban" if "urban" to you means graffiti.

OK a couple of months back I went around most of Deep Ellum and shot background shots
http://www.pbase.com/demdeepellummus...m_dallas_shots
most of the art is still around except the Deep Sushi picks, Devil head 8J4T9948.jpg, one marked as tag art but most of the rest is still there-this doesn't include any of the Good Lattimer Tunnel works
http://www.pbase.com/demdeepellummus...attimer_tunnel
over 70% of the work in this album is gone now.

PM me with any questions, btw I am free tommorrow morning/afternoon-some of these locations are good for morning shots only while some are afternoon best locations while others it doesn't matter too much (bridges overhead).
