I got a call today from someone looking for a photographer on Feb 10th (saturday) from 5-8pm.

What she wants is a photographer for a few hours for a family get together at the Adam's Mark Hotel (wherever that is), group shots, there's some kid shots too and whatever else. Apparently lighting is poor (typical) and so additional lighting would be a must.

She also wants to buy the CD of images to send out to family so they can print whatever else. Ideally she wants someone in the plano/frisco area due to location and she also wants to meet up before hand and whatever to go over the price, and to see a portfolio of work.

Adams Mark is in Downtown Dallas, what is odd is that she WANTS ALL THE WORK to print herself which to me says a photographer will fall into a trap because this woman will yack to all of her friends in Plano about having a CD with the files.

Only thing I would release on CD is medium JPGs so that they can get a decent 5x7 or charging her a hefty fee for the shoot which she would probably balk at.

BTW the light isn't that bad in the Hotel as far as Hotels go and if she wants to go to the top floors with the great view of the city you will need some sort of fill light to work against that outside light streaming through the windows.

she's not expecting it to be cheap - i've already told her that you could be looking upwards of $1500 or more for this.

As to if i'm booked. No, I don't work saturdays, so I'm automatically excluded.
