You always have the most wonderful pictures!
I wish I lived in an area that had such lovely things.
Around here we have refineries and more refineries! :?

Keep posting! I can't wait to see what will be next! :D

Gosh, Shelley, thanks for the compliment. I don't know if you could tell from any of my earlier posts on the forum, but three weeks ago, I got the same DSLR camera as you did: Canon 300D -- which I'm now trying to learn.

However, these photos at Chandor Gardens were taken with my Sony F717 which I've had for a year and feel somewhat more comfortable with in challenging photographic situations -- like Saturday's glaring white sun, shooting under shade trees with high contrast between light and dark. Getting the right exposure in these situations is still just a "bear" for me.

Thanks again.

Hi Bruce,

How did you like Chandor Gardens? It's almost magical isn't it? Definitely different than Clark Gardens. Your description of a "Secret Garden" fits it well. Your shots were beautiful, as always.

Thanks, Nancy. Chandor had one thing going against it on Saturday: it was too blessed hot. Other than that, it was two hours well spent. I was a tad surprised at how few blooming things there were; it's mostly, as you had said, statuary, fountains, ponds and stonework. I guess in my mind I saw a smaller version of the Dallas Arboretum. But still greatly worthwhile. :)
