Hi John. That's so great you can admit you have this problem. We all have our own "demons' to deal with. I wish my Mom could have admitted she was an alcoholic and that she needed help. She might still be alive today.

You can do it John. You've already done the hardest part. Just admitting it. I was a hardcore drug addict and alchoholic. I've been clean and sober now for 5 years. It's a great thing to be able to get up look outside with a clear head and really be able to enjoy every sunrise and sunset. And to be able to remember them. Good luck and our prayers are with you. If you ever need to talk we're here.

That photo might be the best thing that ever happened to you.

It can symbolize the end of that world and the beginning of a new life.

The most important thing you can do is to surround yourself with a STRONG support system.

If you have buddies who cause you to stumble in this area MAKE NEW FRIENDS. I guarantee they'll be missing when you're lying in your death bed coughing your diseased liver out. This is what happened to my daddy and I had to watch him suffer horribly those last few weeks.. I lost him almost 1 yr ago this Feb 24th. Your battle is as much yours as it is those who drag you deeper into it. You CAN overcome it. He almost did once and had he continued searching for the right people to help him I think he'd be here today. NEVER give up the fight.

In that photo..your eyes are exactly like that of my father days before he was gone. They were full of despair and really "empty". I'll never forget it. I'll pray for you.

There is a couple of sayings. Meeting Makers Make It and 5 alive. If there is "anyone3" here that would like to attend a meeting, let me know. Monday and Thursday at 7:00 pm. We have people sober 19 years and ones that have been sober 5 days.
