I was going to go storm chasing with a friend early in the morning but the supposed "rain" that we were gettig turned into clouds. A tornado was spotted around amarillo but figured by the time it reached us it would be a gust in the wind. Ah well...moving on.

I was rather disappointed that we got nary a drop here. I was thinking about shooting sailboats later today, but I bet it's too windy even for that. :-(

It's been gusting pretty good. The blue sky we had just a while ago looks like west Texas dust now.

This dust reminds me of elementary school in the (gasp) 50's in Oklahoma. We'd have to keep wet handkerchiefs over our noses so we could breathe; the teachers would have to keep the windows almost shut ( this was b/4 air conditioning in schools ) and the heat was just oppressive. Definately NOT the good ol' days.
