My camera and I got the opportunity to tag along with a friend as he did some flying around downtown Fort Worth last week... Here are a few of the shots. Hope ya'll like them. I'm definitely going to have to talk him into letting me do this again. Jay, this is a stupendous set of photographs. I'm in awe. Absolutely, the best aerial shots I've ever seen of downtown Fort Worth. Congratulations on this fine accomplishment and thank you for sharing. |

Glad you all like the shots! We were in a little two seater cessna that I was able to open the window of. I basically just poked my 350D out of the side of the plane (with the strap wrapped around my arm as many times as I could  ) . It was a little chilly but since we were able to slow down to between 50-70mph it wasn't too bad. I used the EF-S 17-85mm IS. And kept my aperture around 5.6-6 at 200 ISO (400 for closer shots) to keep my shutter speed at 2500+. I was actually really happy with the sharpness considering were only flying around 2500-3000 feet.
