Fort Worth Rod & Custom Car Show - 03-03-2007, 02:27 AM

The Rod & Custom Car Show is going on this weekend:
http://www.txshowcar.com

Our own Captain Tom and his band are providing the entertainment which is more than enough reason to check it out. However the quality of American muscle cars that are on display are quite the feast for the eyes.

Here are some shots from the show:

I think Joe is one of the most talented photogs I know.

These shots are so superior to what you normally see from car show photos (including my own) that it almost inspires me to sell my equipment and take up golf again......

We spend an inordinate amount of time on this forum discussing how to control the light , etc.
Here are some photos where there was no chance to control the lighting.
But, Joe was able to control how he captured the light and made it work the way he wanted.

Truly a FINE ART

Whacha gonna do? The cars are packed together and roped off so any "normal" shot is out of the question. When that happens there's only two things to do:

1. Fisheye
2. Underexpose

Wha-la.

With the exception of #2 it's all fish and with the strip lighting overhead it makes for an interesting background...

Can't wait to see what others come up with!

Wow! Great pictures! The angles are unique and wonderful. Plus, they are all Chevy's so they are already perfect. I love the last picture the most. I REALLY wish I could have gone but I have been working and will be working tomorrow as well.
