Quick! Before Sunset...suggestions near DFW? - 03-06-2007, 05:37 PM

Any suggestions on places to take photos in mid-cities area very close to DFW? I'd love to get out and take a few before sunset but am not feeling inspired by my usual haunts. Trying to avoid what sometimes happens....packing up and driving around until all light is gone!
Thanks

If you take HWY 114 to 377 towards Denton and then take a right on 1171 it will take you through Flower Mound and Lewisville but you will go through some very beautiful scenery getting there. There are quite a few equestrian ranchs on the way and sometimes there are peopel jumping horses. Tour 18 golf course is also out there with some nice scenery. Its worth the drive at least once if you have never done it.

Also, off of 114 there is Soloana it is between Southlake and Trophy Club where there are some really interesting multi colored structures. It you turn into the complex and get out of your care there are some interesting things to take pics of. I have heard talk on the fourm of people taking wedding shots at this location.

You could also just head out in the country and see what you can find but, it sounds like you have done that before.

I want to go take some shots of this sometime although I am not sure where Hunt Texas is.

I just had a model from Kerrville ask me to shoot her in Hunt. Looks like a very cool place... Gonna set it up in mid May after she graduates college.

Good ideas for shooting locations too btw...
