Thumbs up Photo op spot for DFW! - 03-09-2007, 05:42 PM

Hello, I know there is the photo op map, but I could not see this one there! Its more for the Wedding and portrait people here! I took some shots here not long ago , but it was before I realy got into this, so they are not great and not with my D80 it was a point and shoot! If I can find them I will post a couple. A few of you may know this spot, but I figured I would contribute as much as I could to give back for what I have learned here!
Anyway! there is a great covered bridge just off the hwy on Mt creek pkwy, just north of I20. I went there on a Sunday afternoon and there was not a soul in site. It's a real estate office that its next to and I bet they would not care if you took a client there on a Sat or Sun, it would not hurt to even give them a call and ask! There is a nice row of trees that line the way looking eastbound at it and it also has a nice little pond next to it! Just thought some of you wedding and portrait guys and gals would like to check it out! Its considerd Grand Prairie I think or the outer most edge of Arlington! Chris D.

That is private property. A Dallas Police officer lives on the second floor of that building... I encountered him once... he has an odd schedule. He is a really nice guy and said he wouldn't mind.. but to clear it with the owners. I've tried calling the owners several times, but never gotten a response to my messages... and I gave up.

I figured that would be the answer since they wouldn't return my phone calls.

Well I feel good that I chose a good spot that other people have noticed before. But I feel bad now that I know it may not be used. I must have just time it right, I was there for about 1 hour and nobody bothered myself and my son. Well anyway I will keep my eye out for another good op!
