I am! Going Wed evening and also Sunday...I like Wednesdays cause there is hardly anyone...maybe a mini-meet could be possible?

I was thinking of going this weekend but not sure yet.. I always end up seeing most of the same cars at the Fair in October. Do we get free passes for being photographers? :)

Ugh, I wish I could go sooner but I'm working through the week. But believe me, I will be there first as soon as I can on Saturday morning. I have been waiting for the Dallas show for a few months. I'll be one of the guys with a tripod.

I'm taking my mom on Friday so not many photo ops...just showing her around to get her out of the house. Then Saturday, most if not all day, I will be there. I went tonight and it was great. I got great pics of one of Solberg's WRC cars and the guy removed the velvet rope so I could get better shots. :) I'll be a happier camper when I ride the subaru simulator Saturday at closing. :)

Bring your gear...they don't check bags at the door. I saw a guy with a Canon A series camera with a tripod. Also saw a woman with a monopod with either a 30D of with battery grip. People everywhere with cameras. My purpose today was two-fold although I didn't get the business end taken care of, its all good cause most of those people were worthless to talk to since they were in promotions and not directly related to the dealers or car companies themselves.

Tripod would be nice.... figure the lighting would be okay, but probably not stellar.. would be nice to get some groovin' car pics..

I thought the BMW, Porsche, Mercury area was a bit darker. We were by the Porsche booth at 9:55PM and one of the auto show ladies yelled at my friend to "get out the door, we're closed!" oh and this year's Porsche poster...definitely a keeper. Would recommend snagging one.

I needed more time to see BMW, Lexus (they had there hybrid sedan on a spinning platform), Porsche, Lambo, Ferrari, Aston Martin. Oh and here's another tip, behind the Subaru exhibit, there is a Z Texas car club that has a 1969 Datsun 2000 Roadster and it goes all the way up to a 35th Anniversary 350Z and you can see the stages of change. I had fun talking to those people. They all seemed very good natured people. Enough talk...whoever wants to go Saturday, PM me?

lighting is more than adequate. I went a couple yrs ago with my D50 and it had no problems in the artificial light w/o a tripod. Now I have a 30D and it definately wont have any problems under that kind of light. Now a point and shoot is a different story.. but still.. recent models hold up well in low light w/o a tri/monopod.

I have a friend that wants to go sat afternoon, 2-5ish.. was thinking about tagging along. Although I wanted to check out the Ft. Worth Zoo that morning.. all depends on how shagged out I am after lunch...

I am planning on being there around 10ish. Just look for the guy with a big camera with little knowledge of how to use it, or what the heck he is doing!

I'll be there all day. I'll be at the Aston Martin exhibit first thing at 10AM...
