East Tx. Dogwoods

Has anyone headed to East Tx. to shoot the dogwoods? I know the trails are not for another couple of weeks, but I wondered if they were blooming early.

We went to Tyler last weekend and saw a good number (compared to this area) of dogwoods in bloom along the highway as well as in town. The azaleas are not out much. Flowering pears were out though. I would think that the next two weekends would really bring the dogwoods out. Good luck.

I just heard from my father, who lives in Mt. Vernon/Lake Cypress Springs are....he said they are in full bloom and anyone wanting to take pics needs to go by this weekend. I'm going out there Sunday morning (for the day) if anyone wants to go. There are several areas to take pictues. Might even go to the old family farm there and shoot some pics too.
