I thought about going over there today. David I see you tried getting the prop blur which is always a good idea when shooting prop-driven aircraft. I hate seeing a photo of a plane in the air with a frozen propeller. When you think about it. . . it adds realism when shooting a B-17 while it is overcast (England=clouds) . . but yeah, it also makes it difficult.

ya i wish there would have been different shades in the clouds at least, I love prop blur i slowed it down to 1/100 at least i got a little blur I may try again tommorrow afternoon but the weather looks the same and they leave wed morn for College Station

I did a doubletake on that b-17 shot.. was thinking that was a different plane because of the coloring.. wow how different days and different lighting really changes the color..

ya have to be careful with the prop blur and not get too slow with the shutter speed. I try to keep it between 160 and 250 when shooting props.

I hope to reach the prop blur plateau someday. Not quite there yet.
Great pics. LOL, I should lay out from work in case they fly over Weds.
