A Visit to Ikea - 03-25-2007, 09:53 PM

We visited the Ikea store today. Not much to do if you are a guy, except push the shopping cart. But I had my trusty Canon A640 P&S in my pocket.
More shots on my photosite.

Very cool pics! I'm surprised you got to bring in the camera. I tried bringing in my camera at the Houston located and they told me to leave it in my car.

I like those blue thingy's. Cool. I, too, though cameras were a no-no in Ikea.

not sure i agree with that, i've seen plenty of men shopping at ikea.

but anyway, the first one is nice. i would have never guessed it was from ikea if you hadn't said anything. it could be installation art at a modern art museum for all we know. :)

I love shopping at ikea. Definitely a great place for small knick knacks. Just not a good idea to buy furniture there.

You've certainly created a silk purse from a sow's ear....these pics are definitely the best things to ever come from that store....that a640 is an amazing camera all to itself. (wife has one and lets me use it sometimes....)

I hate the place and I'm fortunate that my wife feels the same. We're just more the traditional (Louis Shanks, Ethan Allen) types. I think we went thru the pastel colors and light oak phase when our kids were still chewing on furniture.

but viva la differance! If every one had my tastes in furniture and decor it would be a boring world.

.....A better decorated world, but boring....;)

Smile Camera in Ikea - 03-26-2007, 07:18 PM

I had mine in my belt pouch when I went in and had it out in front of several Ikea workers. I saw a few other people with cameras, some were hanging around their necks. Did not notice any signs or anything saying no cameras. I guess I took about 50 photos while we were there.
anyways,
thanks for your comments.
Jeff
ps.
the blue thingy is a light that has adjustible square layers. You can align all of them and make a box, or you can move the layers to make a different look.
