Need a mental support

I have a very tough assignment tonight.

One of our relative has miscarriage, the baby is very early stage probably around 20-24 weeks old. So the father had asked me specifically to take picture of their baby once the baby has been delivered for their memories and it could be anytime between tonight and tomorrow morning.

I have never took a picture of a baby in this situation before, I have done memorial service a few years back for a 1 yrs old baby girl that passed away. But this time is completely different.

I thought I let it out to you guys, since I am not really mentally prepare for this kind of coverage and asking for your prayer and support.

so please remember the baby and the family in your prayer.

I suggest you contact the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep coordinator in the area for suggestions. I know there are some folks here on TPF that participate. Search for NILMDTS. There is a sticky thread in the Open forum.

Wow...Erwin, they baby was much younger and much smaller than I expected...You had a very difficult job..It appears you did a very nice job. I'm glad you had the opportunity and the spirit to do this. Not everyone can be called for this...

Erwin, I would think a baby miscarried that early in the pregnancy would not be suitable for photography but you have done an extremely good job here. You handled this in a very classy way and conveyed the emotion and love of the parents in a very classy manner. I extend to you my whole hearted congradulations to you on a great success at a very tough job. I also extend to the parents my condolences and hopes that their family dreams are realized in the future. Great job, Erwin!

Being the mother of a stillborn baby as well, I want to thank you for doing that for this family. You did an excellent job. It is so hard when all we have left is photographs to look at along with bittersweet memories. You did a wonderful job on theirs.
