Anyone up for a downtown/westend/deep ellum night shoot?

I'm just curious if any of you guys & gals want to get together to go do some shooting at night. I figured a large(r) group would be good. read: safety in numbers. I wanted to get pictures of buildings at different times of day and night time would be a bit challenging I would say. I'm free Sunday through Tuesday so if anyone is interested, let's meet up.

update: According to the national weather service, looks like it'll rain Tuesday till 7PM, then lighten up which is good. I might skip the Stars game tonight (GASP!) to go take pictures around downtown cause tonight and tomorrow night will be clear. Any takers?

I may be up for tommorow night, tonight I have to breakdown a exibit we have at the Grapevine Mills mall home show. What are your thinking about shooting ? What area?

I was interested in Deep Ellum (up and down live oak and possibly around), then the Westend. I've been down there a lot but still don't know my way around free parking haha. If I could hitch a ride (I'm around 635/Macarthur), I'd chip in for some gas since my car isn't the most reliable thing at the moment. Tomorrow night would be great... if we could get a couple more, even better but 3 is good so far. I'm good for tonight and tomorrow.

edit: anywhere else around downtown Dallas is fine...

bout what time are you guys interested in heading out? I'm off all day. Would a central location meetup be good? I've never gone shooting with a group...I'm still a TPF noobie.

I would be up for a shoot tonight around 830ish or so for an hr or 2.. but if everyone has tomorrow planned, then no problem.. i'll see what I can do.. I'de like to see the variety of cameras :)... cameras, cars and electronics interest me alot.. doesn't matter how expensive or cheap!

8:30 is when the Stars are playing...playoffs man! I'm making one last ditch effort to get tickets right now but they're too expensive...well expensive for me but some people would jump on it in a heartbeat haha.

So do you all have a plan yet ? I think I am free after 6:30 pm after traffic dies down a bit, I would be comming in from Midcities area! I think some street (night) Photography would be fun! Let me know what your thinking and where you think you may want to meet up! The oaklawn area and westend sound good for shooting.

Sun goes down around 7-8 so I figured if we're in the general area (downtown) around then, that would be good. I don't know what everyone's schedule is... if anyone is driving by the 635/35 or 635/MacArthur area, can I hitch a ride by chance? Would it be better if we rode in 1 car even so if we go from location to location, we wouldn't have to worry about people getting lost?

I have to be at the airport around 4:30 tomorrow so 7-8 sounds realistic...

edit: if anyone has aim...hit me up tonight or early tomorrow morning and let's get something organized.

I would say around 7:30pm as for where, Im not good at this!! hehehe I dont really know downtown. If you guys want, We could all meet at Target at Cityplace and take the train from Cityplace to union station in downtown. I dont know if it is a good idea to get on the train with camera gear or not. otherwise we could all meet somewhere in downtown itself.
