With all the fun going on in the sky I took a few minutes to see if I couldn't grab a bit of the show:

D2X, Tokina 12-24mm, Lightning Trigger.

Great Shot. I see you have a lightning trigger, does it works as good as the advertisement says?

After all these years I still have not a good pic of lightning.

That's a nice one.

Great one Joe! The car taillight trails really make it.

Yeah, it works perfectly. It's nice since I can set up the camera and sit in the car during the rain and let the trigger do its thing.

It responds to any flash in the sky so you get a lot of clouds lit up but that's how it goes. I got 7 or 8 decent lightning shots, this one being the most dramatic and best timed with the car lights going by.

It's expensive but for me, it's worked out well.

Wow! That is so freakin' great.

If that was shot at 12mm then that strike was pretty close
