Fog machines? - 05-06-2007, 04:32 AM

Where can I get a fog machine in Dallas? I'm referring to those low cost ones you'd see at walmart during Halloween. My guess is that I'll have to order one online.

POSSIBLY party City. Do you need to BORROW one or do you need to buy one? If you need to borrow one I have several Fog machines. I have two Concert sized ones and I have two small ones that you get during halloween. You can also try ebay.

I've been to party city, nothing. I had one I got from halloween, but it broke... just wont make fog. I may be interested in borrowing your big ones. No rush right now, just thinking ahead. I know I will eventually do some photos with fog.

BTW, what are you doing up at 4am?!

What city do you live in joe? There are only a FEW moving parts to a Fog machine. The Pump, the heater, the control board, The feeder lines and the power supply. Best thing to do to your old one is plug it in, make sure the heater is getting hot. If it is then Hit the run button to make sure the pump is pumping fluid from the resivoir the to heater. If it is, best thing to do is get some Distilled water and try to pump that through the system and that should clean the system out. If not then you either have a bad heater if it isnt getting hot or you hav a bad pump if it isnt pumping fluid through.

The reason I am up so late is I was playing musical couches with a friend of ours. we got a new living room suit today. We got rid of our old couches in our game room, we took the old couch from the living room to a friends house and then took his old couch and put it in our game room. we JUST got done. we are sitting here watching TV and winding down before going to bed. If you want to, you can call me ay 8179076358 and I can try to help you out with your old fog machine.

I got rid of it already. I think someone put something in it other than the fog liquid. After that, it just wouldn't make fog.

I'm in Dallas near whiterock lake.

ok. Well Crap! Yeah take down my number and if you ever need to borrow mine, Feel free to call me. If you use the big concert one, hubby requests that I COME WITH IT! hehehe No offense but the silly thing is worth 2K! hehehe It is a high end F100 fogger. http://www.highend.com/support/effec...ggenerator.asp
It fills up 1500 Sq Ft per minute!!! hehehe I got it for halloween. We also have a fog chiller unit that a friend made out of a cooler and some dryer vent tubing! hehehe You put it after the fog machine and put dry ice in it, Makes the Fog hand LOW to the ground! pretty cool effect!

How about collateral? You can come, but I don't want to waste your time or feel rushed. Though I may not need that much fog -lol. I guess it depend on the location. I do have a propane fogger I use for insects, I wonder if that would work.

It is a special liquid made by the company that makes the fog machine. it is made by High End and it is called Atmosphere HQ. It is like $75 - $80 for 2 and half gallons last time hubbie checked. hehehe We dont use it THAT often and honestly since it DOES produce SO much, you wont need a LOT and it will last FOREVER! I have had 2 and a half gallons now for almost 3 years. I have used it in three photo shoots and for 2 halloweens!

That is where we got one of our f100's. the other one we got off craigslist. The small one we got from a friend of ours who is in the lighting and sound entertainment business. I will ask him where to get one locally also for ya Joe.

I'd like to try out your big one. I have a girl coming up from Houston on the 20th and I'd like to shoot her outside. If there is any kind of breeze, I know I'll need something like what you have to make sure there is enough fog at one time.

BTW, I called spencers and they have one for $40. I'll go get it and see how well it works. I'd probably only get away with using it inside since it's small.
