I will be in the Dallas area this weekend. Anything exciting going on in Dallas this weekend?

Or any good places to go shoot? I just do not want to sit around doing nothing. I will be in Dallas all day friday, saturday, and part of sunday.

Thanks...

There are a couple of options for you.

Grapevine, TX is having theirMain Street Days Festival. This isn't too far from Dallas and should keep you occupied for a day or so.

Another option is Scarborough Renaissance Faire in Waxahatchie, TX. It is similar to one that is held in October / November near your neck of the woods.

I'm sure there are others, but this is what I now about off the top of my head.

Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie is always a great (and inexpensive) place to shoot and have a good time.

Also, if you're into quiet you can visit Dallas Arboretum. Not sure what they have going on right now but usually full of color.

You could also check out the annual Wildflower Festival in Ricardson (just north of Dallas). It's got three days of music concerts, arts/crafts, people watching, and a Saturday morning bicycle rally.

Check out the web site: http://www.wildflowerfestival.net/

It's generally a great time and this year you can see the likes of Eddie Money, Grand Funk Railroad, and Foghat to name just a few.

If you don't mind watching soccer, come to the FC Dallas game at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco on Sunday :P I think the game starts at 6p and there will be some really crazy people in section 116.. including myself :P We sit way down there in the first few rows and we're the ones with the drums, horns, cowbells, smokes bombs (shhhh), and other loud stuff :P

but yeah.. Scarborough Fair is worth checking out if you've never been.. PLENTY to take pictures of!

I'm drinking the water. So should you.

Is there a secret to staying awake at a soccer game?

I am just not a fan of "futball" Sorry
