The annual Asian Festival is known for its color, pageantry and commitment to showcasing several cultures. The 17th edition, hosted by the Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce and co-sponsored by the Crow Collection of Asian Art, stays true to that tradition with daylong festivities representing several Asian countries, including China, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam and the Philippines. The "Passport to Asia for Kids" area aims to be culturally enriching with origami, jewelry making and more. Save room to sample various cuisines at a marketplace that also includes indigenous arts and crafts. Entertainment includes dance and musical performances

Since I recently shot Dance for the Planet http://www.pbase.com/pgkps/dance_for_the_planet_2007 (I have a lot more to add to this album over the coming weeks) which had various Far Eastern and Middle Eastern Acts on the bill I would love to shoot this pagaent but allas my current condition excludes me from doing this. Some one needs to cover this event since it can make a killer photo op.

(also for some blasted reason my charger for my batteries went on the fritz and the replacement has not arrived by post yet).

If so, then i will be there. Was not able to make it to the zoo today, took a little sidetrack when heading here to Dallas. So i guess i will go to this and check it out. I like Colors, so lets hope i can capture lots of them.
